The street decorations in Colchester for the Coronation of His Majesty King George VI.

Flags, flowers and bunting adorn the streets, shops and public buildings of Colchester. Street scenes show people and traffic; quiet streets get busier as the Coronation Day progresses. Banners include: 'In Peace and Happiness' and 'God Bless Our King and Queen'. The George Hotel, the Town Hall and many shops are featured, all highly decorated, as well as the inside of W. Paul and Co., cycle shop.
