Film maker David Cleveland captures scenes from the May Ball at Clare College, Cambridge

Clare College is decorated for the annual May Ball. Early in the evening, guests arrive at the gate. All are in evening dress. A silhouette of a man with a movie camera announces the theme of the ball. Guests pass into the Old Court. Marquees and the dance floor are viewed from an upstairs window. Guests mingle and a similar view is filmed after dark. The guests dance as punts pass along the Backs.
