The market at Bury St Edmunds including sheep and cattle auctions.

The film beings with overhead shots of the Market in the market place in Bury St. Edmunds city centre, shot from the roof of the Moyses Hall Museum. Ground level shots show shoppers in the market and the stalls. Cars pass by the end of the market. There are shots of the town, including a narrow street and interior scenes in a cafe. Shots of the Cannon Cinema showing 'Dead Poets Society' and 'Lethal Weapon 2.' Charges are £2.60 for an adult and £1.50 for a child. Further shots of the town show a stilt walker, shots of shops, including a butcher, and the entrance to the Cornhill Shopping Mall. The second sequence is shot of the Bury livestock market. There are shots of a deserted market place and then lorries begin arriving carrying livestock. These include pigs, cattle and sheep. There are shots of the farmers and trades. Two of these talk to the camera, but the sound is not recorded. There are shots of other stalls, including a flower stall, a produce stall, a furniture stall and one selling poultry. There is a shot of Simpson & Sons Bury Auction Mart. Sheep are auctioned from their pens. There are shots of a cattle auction from the ring
