A Pathe Pictorial newsreel item about Miss Betty Agar, a Land Army volunteer who went on to become a full-time shepherdess.

Miss Betty Agar left her job in a draper's shop in 1942 to join the Land Army. After a month's training with farmer, George Gittus, she stayed on after the war becoming a fully-fledged shepherdess. Betty with her dog tends her pedigree Suffolk sheep, feeds a lamb from a bottle and shows a lamb to a potential buyer.
