A local record of eel catcher, Derek Johnson, at work in his boat.
In the early morning, Derek Johnson sets off down the River Bure in his small motor boat, passing a ruined windmill. As he gathers in his catch of eels, Derek describes the routine of laying the nets overnight, pulling them in before the river traffic becomes busy, and then exporting the eels to Holland.
