The Jewels of Spring Festival in Spalding

The film opens with shots of the tulip fields of Lincolnshire. Groups of people are in the fields picking the tulips. Miss Tulip, Susan Martin, cuts a ribbon to open an entertainment centre as part of the Jewels Of Spring Celebrations.The remaining shots show the Flower Parade through the streets of Spalding. The commentary explains that 100 blooms are needed to cover a square foot of space and that half a million blooms may be used to cover a float. Some of the floats are shown in close up including that of the National Farmers' Union and those of the Spalding Bulb Company and the Lowland Bulb Company. There are some shots of the crowd
