Local newsreel of the Mayor's Sunday parade.

The first shot shows the crowd gathered along the road side. The parade approaches including Scouts, Sea Scouts, policemen - most of whom are wearing medals, and motor cars containing local dignitaries. The crowd disperses. The second sequence shows worshippers leaving St Mary's Church, Prittlewell where a sign outside reads 'Are you are enjoying yourself?'. The Mayoral party including the Mayor, Alderman Tweedy-Smith, walks past the camera. The final sequence shows further shots of the parade. It is led by a military band. Following them are soldiers, firemen and members of the Boys' Brigade. Some of the soldiers are very young indeed.
