Blackwater Sailing Barge Regatta preparations and race

The amateur film shows moored barges. Close-up shots show the crew on board. The camera pans the line of barges. Shots taken on board show the sails hoisted, the anchors weighed and the barges prepared for the race. One of these barges is called 'Venture.' The race preparations and the race itself are filmed from one of the barges. We see other barges and the Wallet Spitway buoy. During the race there are shots of the crew sailing the barges. The end of the film shows sailing dinghies at the Regatta and some of the decorated boats in the harbour. There are shots of the crowd waiting on the bank and then of them cheering in the barges. The final shots are of the harbour at dusk.
