A recruitment film for the Suffolk Territorials, featuring scenes of military parades and training exercises.

Colonel R. Coburn making an appeal to the camera for volunteers to come forward for service in the Suffolk Territorials. He appeals to men's sense of responsibility for the Empire. The next sequence shows a Drumhead Service in Christchurch Park, Ipswich, in which 350 volunteers take part. There are scenes of the crowds and of the soldiers in repose. The drums are blessed by a member of the clergy. The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Colonel Frank Garrett CBE, presents medals to soldiers for long service and efficiency. He takes the salute of the troops as they march past. This is followed by a demonstrations of using a Vickers machine gun and searchlight training. The Territorials are also seen handling heavy calibre weapons, although this appears to have been shot in a store room or gymnasium, not on location. Finally, there is another appeal from Colonel Coburn for all fit men to come forward and join the ranks of the Territorials.
