Semi-detached houses under construction
High-angle shots of semi-detached houses under construction. Bricklayers at work and chimneys being completed. Close-up shots of faces. At Rylandes Estate, Dagenham, a sewer is under construction. There are shots of a crawler tractor and men digging a trench and putting in sewerage pipes. A couple look round one of the un-finished house sand then pose for the camera.There is a shot of the Elm Park Estate at Hornchurch. Some people are seen leaving a train. Back at the Elm Park Estate, which is bedecked in flags, the official party is seen on a canopied platform. There are speeches and then entertainment in the form of Scottish dancers and pipers
