Unedited footage of scenes in Chelmsford town centre.

The streets of Chelmsford on an ordinary day showing people going about their normal business. Shows traffic, including buses, moving around the streets. The exterior of a cake shop; a man gives an uncertain look to the camera. The exterior and interior of a fish and chip shop, customers eat at tables at the back of the shop and they are served at the counter. The inside and outside of a butchers shop features followed by further street scenes. A building in the background is covered in scaffolding and there is further building work taking place. Other shops featured include a paper shop, a ladies dress shop before the camera shows scenes of a pedestrian precinct. There are interior views around Boots the Chemist followed by more scenes around the precinct. At the railway station a train arrives and there are further street scenes in the vicinity of the railway station and of the bus station. The film finishes back in the town centre with shots of the river.
