The thirteenth centenary celebrations at Norwich Cathedral
This film is introduced with a long, static shot of Norwich Cathedral. A long procession of clergy enter the Erpingham Gate at Norwich Cathedral and enter the West Door. The Lord Mayor and his colleagues arrive by the Lord Mayor's coach. They too, enter the West Door followed by choir boys. The Close and the crowd are visible. There is a newsreel van parked outside the Norwich School, taking another film of the event.

Background Information
The Bishop of Norwich at this time was the Rt. Rev. Bertram Pollock. He may not appear in the film. The service was attended by The Archbishop of Canterbury and 110 Archbishops and Bishops, including the Bishop of Ely and the Bishop of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich. The film being shot by the camera in the picture was Te Deum Laudanum. This film is in the Archive's Collection.
