Steam trains in Suffolk and Norfolk including `The Flying Scotsman'.
Amateur film showing Raby Castle, an ex L.N.E.R. B17 ('Sandringham'), leaving Ipswich station, heading towards London. This was probably not later than 1959. The second shot is of `Thomas Hardy', a British Rail Standard Class 7MT (Britannia) locomotive, passing the locomotive sheds at Ipswich heading towards Manningtree. The third shot shows another Britannia engine at the fork north-west of Ipswich Station, disappearing under the A12 road bridge towards Ease Suffolk Junction with the Liverpool Street - Norwich Express. Another Britannia heads towards Sproughton. There are three shots that show the `Flying Scotsman'. The first two are at Thorpe Station, Norwich and show the `Flying Scotsman' arriving at and leaving the Station. The third shows the engine at Ipswich.
