Views of Harlow, the new town.
The film begins with aerial shots of Harlow. It shows a housing estate with a main road in the background and then the camera pans around to show industrial estates and other views of Harlow New Town. The shot moves to ground level. There are shots showing the various different houses and flats available in Harlow New Town. There are interior shots of one of the houses showing a mother feeding a baby. There are good views of the sitting room and of the kitchen, showing early 1960 furniture styles and appliances. There is a cooker, a washing machine and a refrigerator.There are two shots of the Templefields Industrial Estate. These are followed by interior views of two factories, showing people at work. In the second, an electrical factory, there are both men and women employed.The final sequence shows views of building in Harlow. There is the modern Church of St. Paul's, a school, a sports arena, the market square and shops as well as further views of housing estates.
