Celebrations for the Silver Jubilee of HM King George V.

The opening scenes of the film are shot in Southwold. These show decorated streets with people going about their daily business. There are shots of the bonfire before it was lit and shown ablaze at the end of the film. At Halesworth, groups of service men and others gather for the jubilee parade. These include bands and fire crews. Dignitaries plant a jubilee tree. There is a service in the town square that is decorated for the occasion. This service concludes with a rifle salute. There are street scenes showing the crowds milling around before the scene switches to the sports events.Theses show races for children, including a three-legged race, a hoopla race, hurdles' races and an egg and spoon race. There is a band playing. A high jump competition takes place and also races for adults and a pillow fight on a horizontal pole.The carnival parade shows floats, some of which are decorated horse drawn drays. There are adults in fancy dress and decorated cars. The film ends with night shots of a bonfire.
