This film begins with general shots of the crowded beach and typical beach scenes. There are both long and high angle shots. Posters introduce the viewer to the contest for the Clacton-on-Sea entrant in Miss Ideal Holiday Girl, 1957. This takes place at the Band Pavilion. There are scenes from inside the Pavilion, including many shots of the audience. The girls parade in bathing costumes in front of the judges. We see the winner, Christinar Griggs, who poses for the camera with the runners up, Andria Loren and Doreen Nicholson. They are joined in some shots by another girl who is fully clothed. There are further poses for the camera along the sea front.
