The opening of Brooks of Mistley's news silos.

This film, as well as recording the opening of the new silos at Brooks of Mistley, records some of the people who worked there. At the beginning of the film, Mr. Ted Clark, Foreman of the Mills, is seen walking outside the new silos. He is followed by Mr. Hilton Brooks, Chairman and Managing Director of Brooks of Mistley, Mr. F. Crisp and D. Walter, company directors. All are wearing white coats. At the quay, grain is sucked out of a barge by pneumatic suction plant. This could work at approximately 25 tons per hour. The next sequence is of The London Dairy Show At Olympia and shows Brooks' stand. Back at Mistley, there are interior shots of the offices. These include Mr. Bush, the Company Secretary, Mr. Neville working at his desk and other office scenes. In the laboratory, Mr. MacKay, the Chief Chemist is filmed and the Chief Electrician, Mr. Rudge, is filmed on the telephone.
