Schoolboys share some of their favourite treasures.

The interviewer talking to one of the boys in class 4-2. The boy is wearing school uniform with the blazer covered in badges. He removes a remarkable array of goods from his pockets. He has piles of football cards, a pack of playing cards, a matchbox, a 'fossil', numerous badges a bicycle chain, bicycle clips and books. His favourite items are the army badges. His father was in the army and he hopes to join when he is old enough. The interviewer asks other children to tell him what they have brought in. A girl has brought in a jug. It was given to her by an elderly friend of the family The lady died shortly afterwards and she keeps it in memory of her. A boy has a policeman's helmet that he found in a hedge. Another girl has a gin trap given to her by her uncle. She also has a painting of her grandfather's horse, an Anglo-Saxon arrow head, a piece of coal and a stone. She likes the coal and the stone because they have interesting patterns. The stone looks like a pear with a bite taken out. Her favourite item is the picture of her granddad's horse. One of the boys has a gas mask. This was swapped with a class mate for another helmet. Another boy has an array of possessions, all of which belonged to his grandparents. The camera zooms out to give a whole class shot. The interviewer asks if the children have anything that they wouldn't sell, even if he were to offer them £5. Several do. One boy has his father's medals. His father was in the RAF and was killed in a crash over Scotland. The film concludes with the reporter suggesting that 'perhaps treasures like these are the most valuable of all ... treasures of the imagination and of the heart.'
