Milk Marketing Board's Cattle breeding centre, 1955.

The film starts with views around Suffolk and North Essex' Lavenham, Kersey, Flatford and Dedham, before moving to Beccles. Here we see an exterior shot of the headquarters of the Milk Marketing board's Cattle Breeding Centre in Ringsfield Road. There follows shots of two bulls paraded before the camera. The main part of the film covers the Cattle Progeny show at the Centre.Cars arrive followed by general views of the grounds with people, cows and lorries in the background. Stockmen are grooming cattle; the cattle are then paraded in the ring.The stand of the National Agricultural Advisory Service Diary Demonstration of milk coolers is featured. The film returns to the ring where the cows are judged and prizes awarded. A large crowd is seen followed by the winners paraded in the ring.
