Scenes of farming life in Stiffkey, 1950

A young boy is pouring milk into a creamer. There is a shot of a man sitting outside a tent and by a car. The children, a boy and a girl, are seen with the farmer riding a John Deere tractor pulling a reaper. They drive into the farmyard which has several flint faced barns.There is a high angle shot of a tractor and trailer in a field and scenes of the children driving the tractor as straw is collected. Working alongside the tractor is a horse drawn rake. There are threshing scenes showing a Ruston threshing tackle. This includes close up shots of the machine and of the children helping. Darker shots show the machinery travelling along a lane at dusk.The final shots show a group of people with dogs in the farmyard.
