A wife calls her husband in from gardening for breakfast. The scones she has made are very flat. After attempting to feed them to the dog, the husband decides that the scones would be more suited to a rock garden. Replacement scones are thrown on the fire. Later his wife is reading when the maid enters to attend to the fire. The burnt scones are discovered. At dinner that evening the wife presents her husband with a steak and kidney pie that proves inedible. When clearing the dining table, the maid drops the tray, breaking everything but the pie. In the next sequence the wife is in the kitchen and a friend brings her Krusto. The wife makes pastry using Krusto and everything is fine. The film ends with a picture of the pie and utensils followed by a picture of a packet of Krusto.
