An advertisement for Colman's mustard that suggests that Colman's is so powerful it can even get rid of your cold!

This is an advertising film for Colman's Mustard that encourages eating mustard as a means to good health and taking mustard baths as a means to restore good health. The film is acted and features the Mustard Club. The film begins with a man returning home in the evening with a cold. His wife gets him a hot drink and then suggests joining the Mustard Club. The man falls asleep and in a dream sequence finds himself facing a quasi trial before the Mustard Club for his neglect of mustard. The members of the Mustard Club are horrified that the man has a cold; shocked when the witnesses, a ham sandwich and a piece of cheese, contest to the man's neglect of mustard. A waiter in chains admits to not having prepared fresh mustard and the Mustard Club show mercy and give the man The Order of the Bath. Back in the comfort of his home, the man is woken by his wife to have a mustard bath while dinner cooks. She gives him a packet of Colman's Bath Mustard. The man takes a bath. A while later the couple are out to dinner. The man has recovered from his cold. The film ends with a picture of Colman's Mustard and Colman's Bath Mustard.

I think I've got a bit of a cold. I'll get you a hot drink. And now you must join the Mustard Club. Join the Mustard Club. Let the applicant for initiation into the mysteries of the Mustard Club stand forth. He's got a cold. Call the witnesses. Ham Sandwich. On the 29th ult at Panterloo Station he ate the next above me on the buffet dish - mustardless. Cheese. For years I and my forbears have stood on the quick lunch counter of the Pig and Whistle, the mustard pot invitingly beside us - but he ignored it! Waiter. Through sheer laziness I neglected to mix fresh mustard at the restaurant where he dined last night.... but in spite of my neglect he tipped me. Poor wretch. He can have no digestion left - No wonder he has a cold! Let us temper justice with mercy - give him the Order of the Bath. Wake up old man - Come and have a mustard bath while dinner's getting ready. Pass the mustard. By the way - what about that cold of yours? I left it in the mustard bath. Are you a member of the Mustard Club?
