An animated advertisement for Colman's mustard.

An advertising film for Colman's Mustard that expounds its medicinal effects. The film begins with a cartoon of a wintry scene. Two insect-like characters (bugs?) called Dyspepsia and Flu set out to thwart a boy's proposal to his girl. As the couple sit under a tree, they are grabbed by the two bugs. Cupid intervenes. A tin of Colman's Mustard bath falls out of the tree and hits him on the head. He thinks of the woman ill in bed and decides that the mustard bath is what she needs. The next sequence introduces some of the characters from the Mustard Club. Baron de Beef runs a mustard bath; Miss Di Gester buys a packet of mustard. Cupid also flies off with a tin and thinks of the boy eating. Using the Hymen Telegraph Service, he advises the girl to take a mustard bath. "To: The Girl. Take a Colman's Mustard Bath and leave cold in it. From: Cupid". The boy he advises to eat mustard at meals. "To: The Boy. Take Colman's mustard with meals and avoid indigestion. From: Cupid". He takes his telegrams to an anthropomorphic telegraph pole who takes them from him and sends them along the telegraph wires. The boy and the girl take his advice. Cupid shoots an arrow through a heart and the couple are seen in silhouette; happy ever after. Ends with a picture of Colman's mustard and Colman's Mustard Bath.
