An early film made in the Kinemacolor system showing tartan fabrics.
A succession of labelled tartan cloths associated with these Scottish clans Drummond, MacPherson, MacBeth, MacDuff, Gordon, Bruce, Logan and MacGregor. The film was a demonstration of the Kinemacolor process.

Background Information
The film appears in black and white, and flickering, but the original was filmed and projected to create an early colour effect known as Kinemacolor through the use of colour filters. This 16mm copy was owned by a film engineer who developed a Kinema Colour process for his own home movies.
