Home movie footage of the varied and exciting programme of events at East Anglia’s largest one-day agricultural show, the Aylsham Show held at the Blickling Estate.
Aylsham Show, East Anglia’s largest one-day agricultural show takes place in the parkland of the National Trust’s Blickling Estate, north of Aylsham in Norfolk. Livestock showing is an important part of the day with parades of fine cattle, donkeys, and horses. The 1971 programme also features equestrian showjumping and an aerial display of parachutists, fancy dress parade, a Salvation Army marching band in the main ring, a ‘best in show’ competition for visitors’ pet dogs, and floral arrangement display. The final shot shows the exterior front of the Jacobean house, Blickling Hall.
