BBC Look East footage to accompany a report on a new roundabout development scheme in Ipswich.
Empty shops along a single street in the town centre, showing ‘sold’ signs in the windows, followed by footage of a building site with workmen putting together scaffolding. A sign displayed in a window reads “Demolition for new roundabout scheme – continuous sale – new bargains weekly!”. Shots of town planning model buildings, possibly of a block of flats. This film was transmitted to accompany a BBC East news story as part of the regional news broadcast.
