An audience of teenage girls watch a demonstration of how to fold a napkin to create an attractive table decoration. An interview with instructor Miss [Pyet] discusses the phenomenon of home entertaining by teenagers, and gives further details about the hostess-ship course being held which provides practical demonstrations in cooking, table decorating and social etiquette, amongst other things, giving teenagers the confidence and encouragement to hold their own dinner parties, independent of their parents. Interviews follow with a number of the course participants asking what they hope to learn from the course, and what they particularly like about home entertaining.
