A BBC Look East news report on the auction of contents from Wolferton Royal Station.

The railway station at Wolferton, Norfolk - which stands on the King's Lynn to Hunstanton line - had served the nearby Royal Palace of Sandringham for over a century, with the last royal service rolling out in 1966. The following year, the contents of the royal waiting rooms are being sold at a public auction. Touring the auction-room floor, the correspondent shows off a series of lots including a royal mirror, a specially-commissioned settee, mahogany dining table and a pair of sheepskin doormats. Amongst the lots, auctioneer John Storey is interviewed about the type of people likely to buy these items, their royal legacy, the unique nature of the sale and where he plans to start the bidding. Following views of the auction in progress, some of the successful bidders talk about their royal purchases.
