Lakenheath Village Auctioned

1960 , Lakenheath (Suffolk)

A BBC Look East mute news report on the auction of Lakenheath Hall Estate.

The future of the village of Lakenheath remains uncertain as an auction gets underway for the entire Lakenheath Hall Estate. A poster advertising the auction notes that the estate comprises a 'medium-sized country residence in timbered grounds', as well as various cottages, buildings and areas of woodland and arable farmland. Buildings and land covered by the sale are shown, from the country residence of Lakenheath Hall, to hunting and farming land, the rented homes of local residents and buildings currently used by the community, including the Lakenheath Youth Club.
