The Suffolk village of Elveden is dominated by the large country home of the Iveagh family - Elveden Hall - at the centre of an estate that is, in turn, watched over by one of the oldest working members of staff, Head Gamekeeper Mr. Tom Turner. As his team carry out their day to day tasks on the estate, the elderly Turner relates his story in voiceover, speaking with the enthusiasm of a young man about everything from poisoning rabbits to shooting with royalty, sharing both his wisdom and a unique philosophy of gamekeeping.
