On 7 July 1954 a man and woman with their friends take an outdoor walk past a steep grassy hillside, and sit together on a bench. Thetford Castle is a possible location for this scene, as the film maker originated from Thetford. Indoors, standing at a table decorated with flowers, the couple cut a cake and share it with their friends who raise their glasses to toast the Golden Wedding anniversary, and dip into an offered box of chocolates.
