BBC Look East news report from a grocer's store discussing the Sunday trading law.
Tony Scase reports from Taylor’s Superfare, showing a range of grocery items – some that can be purchased on Sundays, others that cannot - highlighting the very specific, at times contradictory, and often confusing standards of the Sunday Trading Law. Shop owner Vernon Taylor bemoans the law as quite ridiculous, and certainly difficult for consumers and shop owners to comply with, recalling an anecdote whereby he was cautioned by an official of the Council for selling a can of Irish stew. Mr Taylor calls for action to either reform the Sunday Trading Law or simply ban Sunday trading outright.
