BBC Look East report with Lance Percival and the cast of Italian movie ‘Concerto Per Pistola Solista’ (‘The Weekend Murders’).
The cast and crew, including director Michele Lupo, are on location at the Somerleyton Manor Estate to shoot the Italian film ‘Concerto Per Pistola Solista’ (The Weekend Murders). Director Michele Lupo chats with Italian actor Gastone Moschin in costume, cast as a Scotland Yard bobby. The production crew shoot a scene featuring Moschin, Italian actors Giacomo Rossi-Stuart and Quinto Parmeggiani and English actor Chris Chittell of future ‘Emmerdale’ fame. Various cast members are on location waiting to shoot a scene or preparing for shooting in make-up, including actors Beryl Cunningham, Ida Galli and Orchidea De Santis. English actor Lance Percival, who plays Superintendent Grey of Scotland Yard, is interviewed on set. Percival discusses his role in the film, an alternative to his usual satirical performance on BBC Radio 4’s ‘That Was The Week That Was’, and reveals how he copes with the dialogue as a non-Italian speaker. Italian-American actor Anna Moffo is interviewed, describing her character in the movie as a wealthy heiress, but revealing little else about the film’s plot so as not to spoil the mystery for viewers. As a classically trained opera singer, better known as a musical actor, Moffo discusses the transition to being cast as the leading lady in a murder mystery.
