A BBC Look East news story reporting on Cambridge University’s team preparations at Ely ahead of the University Boat Race.

The Cambridge University team place their rowing boat on the water. Crew members gather at the boathouse, some carry oars from the building. On the water, the crew practise, watched by a coach with a megaphone. With Ely Cathedral visible in the distance there is an interview with an ex-rower/coach. He discusses; the conditions provided by the Great Ouse at Ely in preparation for the University Boat Race, modern methods of training and the popularity of the sport. A Cambridge University crew member discusses the preparations made in advance of the official boat race and discipline of the sport.
