After a boxing triumph, Dave 'Boy' Green returns to Chatteris, whose residents line the streets to welcome him home.
Dave 'Boy' Green returns to his home town after a triumphant boxing match. A large banner congratulating Dave Boy Green is strewn high across Chatteris High Street. The crowds have gathered, lining the roadside to welcome their hero home. Children have dressed up in celebratory attire, with Dave 'Boy' Green hats and rosettes. Wearing a camel hair coat and sun glasses, standing up through the skylight in a car, Dave 'Boy' Green waves to his revelling followers. The car pulls in, he leaves the car and surrounded by his well-wishers walks to meet Miss Hilda Clarke, the Chairman of the Council. Miss Clarke hands him an enscribed trophy which he proudly displays.
