The reporter and Air Commodore Lyne walk up the impressive building of the college of Royal Air Force College, Cranwell. A brief history of the college is given. Inside the college the portrait of Lord Trenchard is focused on and his impressive role in the college discussed. The reporter questions the modern cadet compared to the pre-war cadet and conditions of entry for cadets are discussed - with four main catergories - academic, medical, aptitude and lastly personal qualities. A happy birthday is wished to Cranwell on its 44th annivesary of foundation.
