An Anglia Television mute news report on railway closures in Norfolk.

A railway semaphore signal arm drops into the 'stop' position to open an Anglia Television report on some of the railway lines and stations which are set to close as a result of Dr. Richard Beeching's reform of Britain's railways, widely referred to as the 'Beeching Axe'. Travelling along some of Norfolk's lesser branch lines, we see threatened stations along Great Eastern Railway's Swaffham and Thetford branch line - Swaffham, Holme Hale and Watton - as well as two stations situated on the Wymondham to Wells branch, Wells-next-the-Sea and Fakenham East.
