British film maker Arthur Melbourne-Cooper at his home in the small village of Coton near Cambridge. Arthur, steps out into the garden, smoking a pipe. He briefly inspects a flower bed, before taking a seat in his garden chair. He is joined by his daughter Audrey Wadowska (on the left) and another lady (possibly his wife Katherine), although the camera remains focused on Arthur in conversation and smoking his pipe.

Background Information

ARTHUR MELBOURNE-COOPER retired in 1940 and moved to Coton near Cambridge. Here, in 1961, he died. His wife died the next year. They are buried in the cemetery of St John's Church, Coton. ARTHUR MELBOURNE-COOPER (1874-1961) British film pioneer. Pioneer of stop-frame animation.
