Amateur footage of a day of motor racing at Silverstone.
A home movie, part of the Kim Dowe collection, featuring highlights from a day of racing at the Silverstone circuit at the turn of the 1960s. Action from a variety of racing classes are shown, beginning with an open-wheel formula race including the race start and the winner passing the chequered flag. Two saloon races follow, one for larger cars and another for smaller ones, including Minis. Another open-wheel formula race begins as the pit crew scramble off the track, and the film concludes with highlights from the sports car class.
