Northampton Town v Peterborough United

1961 , Northampton (Northamptonshire)

Anglia Television sports report of a Football League Division 4 match between Peterborough United and Northampton Town in the 1960-61 season.

Peterborough kick off the first half, and have most of the ball during the early, frantic exchanges on a soggy county ground pitch in Northampton, as a crowd of almost 20,000 watch from the stands. An early shot on goal by Peterborough is followed by shots of a cheering crowd. The report concludes with close-up action from the second half, as the Peterborough attack combine neatly to allow Peter McNamee to slot home one of The Posh's three goals.
