Anglia Television report on Cambridge's preparations for the 1964 boat race.

Anglia Television report highlighting preparations by the newly-announced Cambridge crew for the 1964 University Boat Race. Opening with highlights of a previous race, the Anglia presenter crosses the river on a hand-cranked chain ferry, where six of the crew wait along with their coach. From there, they cross back over the river and warm up in preparation for training. Watched by the reserve crew and a crowd of other students, the Cambridge crew drop their boat into the water and cast off. Long sequences show the crew training under the guidance of the cox and the coach, who follows behind in a motor boat. After a hard training session, the crew retire for tea and biscuits at the Cutter Inn at Ely, as the report concludes with more action from a previous Boat Race on the River Thames.
