Harvesting at a farm in Fairlands Valley, Stevenage.

The film presents a picturesque portrait of the final harvest on a farm in Fairlands Valley, Stevenage. A tractor tows a grain trailer, whilst a large red combine harvester - operated by a farmer seated high on top - drives alongside, harvesting the wheat crop and dumping the grain into the trailer. Wide shots reveal the farm's setting amongst rolling hills, whilst closer views include shots of the driver operating the combine harvester, the chaff being expelled at the back, and grain being dumped into the trailer. At night, the crop stubble is swealed and burned, before the new day reveals the freshly harvested field.
