Scenes of steam-powered fairground rides and vehicles at Sudbury Mammoth Olde Tyme Rallye
Shots of the gallopers as a fairground roundabout revolves, close to swingboats and an illuminated steam engine emitting dark steam. The same is seen at the end of ‘Farming Through The Ages’ Cat 6803 so this appears to be a continuation of John Anderson’s filming of the same event, but with the emphasis on steam vehicles and entertainment rather than steam-powered farming. People ride on the roundabout and swingboats, and on a big wheel seen static and then revolving. Views of the steam engine mechanisms. People watch a continental steam organ. A shot filmed rising above the roof of the roundabout and giving a view over the event, including a fire engine, is probably filmed from the big wheel. Two steam engines are moving about, one a Burrell from Dedham towing a wagon carrying passengers. The film ends with shots of a steam-powered car and more views of the engine mechanisms.
