Demonstrations of steam and horse ploughing at Sudbury Mammoth Olde Tyme Rallye.
A farming history event held in a flat landscape. An area of parked cars and marquees can be seen in the distance as people stand watching and photographing the demonstrations of past techniques. Most attention is given to steam ploughing with multiple views of a steam engine reeling and unreeling the cable attached to the plough. The engine and the plough are moved across to start on new furrows. Shots of the men working on the engine which is Sir John’s Lady made by John Fowler and Company of Leeds. Other demonstrations include two horses pulling a plough held by a man and a tractor pulling equipment. The steam ploughing is seen again from a distance. Finally a decorated and illuminated steam engine and fairground roundabout and swings.
