The daily life of British schoolchildren and their teachers, with an aim to further educate parents about modern schooling methods.

At the start of a new school week, pupils arrive at Beechwood County Primary Junior Mixed School chatting about their weekends, whilst their teachers think about the classes they have planned. Throughout the day, children experience everything from arithmetic, geometry and science, to physical education, art, and music, reading and English composition. Teachers assist the children to find the meaning of everyday things, and provide discipline by capturing their imagination and giving them responsibilities before class, during breaks and after school. As the bell rings to signal the official end of the school day, teachers and pupils begin a variety of after-school activities and the film highlights the importance of bridging a child's life at school with their life at home.
