The story of the taming and training of a golden eagle for falconry.

Documentary featuring a Golden Eagle named Bokhara, tamed and trained in the 2,000 year old tradition of falconry to hunt rabbits, hares, foxes and even wolves. All aspects of the training process are shown, beginning with the hood used to keep the bird calm and unafraid, the familiarization of the eagle with its trainer, and its introduction to strange sights and sounds. Bokhara is taught to fly to the trainer's hand over gradually increasing distances, and is soon flying longer distances untethered, spotting and catching lures. And before long, Bokhara is ready for her first real flight in open country, where she stalks and catches a hare.
