A collection of home movies filmed by Charles Scott.

Amateur filmmaker Charles Scott documents his friends, colleagues and acquaintances from across East Anglia in the 1940s. At the start of the decade, Scott begins by visiting his friends in Ipswich, including a railroad worker, a policeman and a colleague from the GPO Home Guard. A van driver for Norwich-based biscuit manufacturers W. & R. Jacob, Mr. Scott also visits a group of employees at a biscuit depot in Ipswich, who are shown unloading boxes of biscuits. In 1945, the action moves to South Wootton (near King's Lynn), where Scott visits family and friends, and shows celebrations for his father's 45th birthday, including croquet and shots of his father building a model of the Golden Hinde. Friday night in King's Lynn meant 'Carnival Night' at the Pilot Cinema, and Scott was there to catch the action, which included musical performances, a female vocalist and a comedy double-act. Also featured is Granny Scott on her 65th birthday and another consignment of biscuits arriving by rail. The film concludes with a comedic short made in 1948 by Scott and fellow members of the Norwich Cine Society, which features the problems and pratfalls faced by a Chaplin-esque figure during a visit to the cinema.
