A day in the life of a school forestry camp.
"Glimpses of Life and Work in a School Forestry Camp "Somewhere in Scotland" . Boys arising from tents, lighting a fire and having breakfast. Collecting tools and heading off to work. Burning, felling, sawing, snedding (removing branches), horse hauling the logs. Making, grading, and stacking pit-props and timber being sawn to different lengths and then stacked. Lunchtime. Shots of old fires being raked and a new stacks being made. Workers finishing work and washing in a river and small waterfall. Dinner - women preparing and serving dinner, workers eating dinner. Evening leisure time - boys fooling around in the river, playing chess, singing around the fire, shot of night sky, tents being closed for the night.
