Comedy about an amateur film-maker who thinks more about films and film-making than his girlfriend.

George telephones his girlfriend Jane, as he flips through a copy of 'Amateur Cine World', to say that he has a surprise for her, and she should come to his home to receive it. Jane, who is reading `Woman', is delighted to accept. They both dress up in their best clothes and prepare for the evening. Jane arrives and is introduced to his parents. She finds that the present he gives her is an 8mm cartridge of a film 'Night-Life in the Netherlands' which he is preparing to project. Jane accuses him of thinking of nothing but films; he replies that she always appears to enjoy the cine club meetings but she says she only goes because she likes the secretary. She leaves the house, throwing his projector to the floor. His parents who had been preparing to leave re-enter and find George on the floor wrapped in film and with a black eye. George is delighted as he thinks the episode has given him another idea for a film.
