Animation promoting the Kodak cine camera.

A cartoon about three cine camera owners who each believes his own model to be the best: a proud owner of a 'Bolegs' (Bolex), a German enthusiast with his 'Eumog' (Eumig) and a novice with a simple little 'Kodeg' (Kodak). The movie maker with the simple, wind-up Kodak camera with manual settings wins the Amateur Cine World `oscar' (the Ten Best) for his film of `the fight of the century' - a playful reference to the fisticuffs that ensues between the other camera owners in the film.

Background Information

The drawings were made in pencil on paper and then cut out and stuck onto background cels. Shot on Standard 8mm film. IAC archivist, Philip Collins, notes that Tony Rose, an IAC founder member, appears in cartoon form.
